Put a box on the page
Cerveza News sells boxes, not impressions: a set size in a set place, sheet after sheet, clearly marked as an ad. This page explains the formats and helps you write a request. It does not take bookings or payments.
How it works
An ad in Cerveza News
Boxes, not banners. Each ad is a framed box on the folded sheet. Readers learn where to look, and you know exactly what you are getting.
Same spot, same size. We aim to keep a business in the same place from sheet to sheet, because familiarity is what makes a small ad work.
Labelled as advertising. Paid boxes never pose as reporting, and reporting never depends on who advertises.
In either language, or both. Tell us which fits your customers. A short line in the other language often helps.
Formats
Four sizes, measured against one panel
These are the sizes we are planning around. Exact dimensions and artwork requirements depend on the final print layout, so we confirm them in your quote.
Small box
One offer and one way to reach you. Good for a promotion, a new hours notice, or a phone number people can read from across the table.
Quarter panel
A headline, a short pitch and a clear contact line. The workable size for most local businesses.
Half panel
Room for a menu highlight, a short list of services, or a fuller introduction to a new place.
Full panel
For an event, an opening, a season or a campaign that deserves the whole panel.
Red areas show the share of one panel. Diagrams are illustrations, not to scale.
Before you write
What makes a good box
- One offer, one action. “Ask for the lunch special” beats a list of ten things.
- A contact line people can use. A phone or WhatsApp number, a street, or a short web address, set large enough to read.
- Short copy. The builder below suggests a headline under 60 characters and body text under 280.
- Words you would say aloud. Plain, friendly and specific.
What to have ready
Bring these if you have them
- Your business name and how you want it written
- The offer or message, in the language or languages you prefer
- A logo or photo, if you have one (not required to start)
- Roughly when you would like to begin, and for how long

How this works. Fill in what you know. The form builds a plain-text request on your device. You then open it as a draft in your own email app, copy it, or download it. Nothing is sent or stored by this website. Your request only reaches us when you press Send in your email app.
Questions
Frequently asked
How much does it cost?
There is no fixed rate card yet. We quote after we agree on size and how long you want to run. Nothing on this site shows or implies a price.
How many copies are printed, and where are they left?
We do not publish circulation numbers or distribution locations until they are real and checked. We would rather tell you that than guess.
Can I pay online?
Not on this site. There is no checkout, invoicing or account system here.
Will you design my ad?
Tell us in the builder if you need help preparing artwork. We will say what is possible when we reply.
What happens after I send my request?
It arrives as a normal email at luke@1730.ca. A person reads it and replies to talk through fit, size and timing. Replies are not instant, and we make no promise about response time yet.
Are there deadlines?
Deadlines will be set once the relaunch schedule is confirmed. We will tell you the one that applies to your start date.
